'Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice' spoilers: Another popular female superhero maybe featured in the movie
A new report about “Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice” reveals the names of the characters played by Jena Malone, Scoot McNairy and Callan Mulvey. The report confirms previous rumours about another popular female superhero being featured in the movie.
[Spoiler alert]
A French magazine spilled the beans about the characters played by the three actors, Comic Book Movie reports. According to the character descriptions posted on the magazine, Malone will be playing the role of Barbara Gordon, who becomes Batgirl in the comics.
McNairy will be playing the role of Jimmy Olsen, a photojournalist who works at the Daily Planet alongside Clark Kent (Henry Cavill) and Lois Lane (Amy Adams). Mulvey is said to be playing the role of Anatoli Knyazev or KG Beast.
KG Beast is one of the villains of the Caped Crusader in the comic books. As the name suggests, the villain was a part of a secret team in the KGB before the fall of USSR. After the fall of the Soviet Union, he became a freelance mercenary for hire.
“Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice” already has a big number of superheroes featured in the movie. The movie will be introducing Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) and Aquaman (Jason Momoa) in the DC cinematic universe for the first time. Although Wonder Woman will be playing a big role in the movie, especially in the climax battle, Aquaman’s role is expected to be a cameo appearance.
Both Aquaman and Wonder Woman will be getting their own solo movies, which will be released 2018 and 2017 respectively. Filming of Gadot’s solo movie has already begun and it will be an origin story of her character. Momoa will be reprising his role in the solo movie.
Another superhero who is rumoured to be a part of “Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice” is The Flash (Ezra Miller). There has been no confirmation about Batgirl and The Flash being featured in the movie by the producers, but if these characters are introduced in the movie; it will open up more possibilities for future DC movies.
