‘Beauty and the Beast’ new clip: Gaston and LeFou bring the house down with ‘Gaston’ [VIDEO]
Walt Disney Studios just released the new “Beauty and the Beast” clip titled “Gaston.” The trailer shows Luke Evan (Gaston) and Josh Gad (LeFou) singing about the self-absorbed villager and Belle's suitor, Gaston. The trailer released Monday after the movie’s Shanghai launch. [Watch the clip below.]
Another clip from the movie last week was released, featuring Emma Watson singing as the bright young Belle in her morning routine around the village. The song featured in the previous trailer is titled “Belle.”
Slated to hit theatres on March 17, “Beauty and the Beast” is a live-action retelling of Disney’s animated film series of the same name. The movie brings out the classic characters from the tale “as old as time,” but with a new approach for contemporary audience and of course, new songs.
“Beauty and the Beast” explores the fantastic journey of a beautiful and independent young woman, Belle, who is taken prisoner by a beast in his enchanted castle. Belle gradually shrugs off her inhibitions and befriends the staff, which reveal to her the Beast’s kind heart hidden by his hideous peripheral. She goes on to seek the true prince within.
Disney released last month a new movie trailer that reportedly proffered viewers with more spoilers on the movie. According to reports, minute details such as Belle’s captive father whose freedom she trades for her own, the peculiar animated antiques from the enchanted castle and the budding romance between the two main characters were beautifully covered in the trailer. Also, Belle was seen in the trailer flaunting her iconic yellow gown while she talked to the antiques present within the castle.
Emma Watson stars in the “Beauty and the Beast” as Belle, while Dan Stevens plays the Beast. The other cast members include Luke Evans who plays Gaston, a shallow but handsome villager who woos Belle. Kevin Kline plays as Maurice, Belle’s father and Josh Gad plays Lefou, reports Collider.
Ewan McGregor (Lumière), Gugu Mbatha-Raw (Plumette), Ian McKellen (Cogsworth), Stanley Tucci (Cadenza), and Emma Thompson (Mrs Potts) take the supporting roles. The movie has been directed by Oscar-winning director Bill Condon.
David Hoberman and Todd Lieberman have produced the film. Academy Awards winner Alan Menken has served as the composer. Stephen Chbosky and Evan Spiliotopoulos are responsible for the screenplay.
Golden Globe and Grammy-winning singer Celine Dion has sung a track titled “How Does A Moment Last Forever.” “Beauty and the Beast” premieres on March 17, 2017. In Australia, the movie hits theatres on March 23.
