Online retailers have been reporting of high demand for the PS4 and there have already been stores where preorders have been stopped as the supply may not be able to meet consumer orders.

However, this isn't to say that there are no longer stores that offer to sell Sony's next-gen console at great discounts and offers, and if you haven't placed your preorders yet, there's still a chance that you can get a great deal, even if you don't get the PS4 on the first day.

Gadget Mill has compiled a list of stores along with their offered prices and bundles for the PS4. According to the list, four UK stores have great deals compared to the U.S.

Among these are Greenman Gaming, where you can save as much as £20 for the voucher that they are giving away and consumable with the PS4; Very, where first-time consumers can get as much as 10% off the retail price, inclusive of delivery.

Gameseek is offering the PS4 at £339.75, but Gadget Mill reports that using Quidco can slash off almost £7. If you're looking at trade-in deals for your old Sony console, you can try GameStop Ireland, which offers as much as €249.99 if you can trade in a PS3 Slim 500 GB.

In U.S. GameStop offers a great deal witht 50% extra in-store credit for trading in games and consoles. So, if you are just looking forward to playing with the PS4, this is a great way to save money and get rid of extra electronics in your home.

PS4 Allots More Memory for the OS

With the release date for the console nearing, internal documents from Sony have recently revealed more details on the capabilities of the PS4 console, starting with the fact that a significant portion of the GDDR5 memory will be allotted to the OS.

According to Videogamer, out of the 8GB of GDDR5, 3.5BG will go to the OS while the remaining 4.5GB will be given for games. The report adds that a 1GB flexible memory will be offered for game makers from the portion allotted for the OS, and this is expected to boost some elements of the game.

But the report also pushes for the possibility of more features and offers related to the OS, as it has been previously believed that the PS4 prototype had used only 512 MB for the OS, while everything else will be for games.

This is probably where Sony should kickstart its cloud power, in the same manner that the Xbox One is banking on the Xbox cloud to do some of the heavy computation for its games.

PS Vita: The PS4 Accessory-sometimes

Many people may have missed out on a earlier report about the PS Vita and the PS4 being the best of "companion" devices once Sony releases its next-gen console during the holidays.

In response to a fan inquiry, it was asked whether the PS Vita can be used as a second controller on the PS4, Sony Worldwide Studios boss Shuhei Yoshida replied, "In a normal sense, no. Unless a game is specifically programmed to allow such use of PS Vita."

Past reports have pointed to the PS Vita as allowing remote play features from the PS4 console, though it has also been clarified that there will be select games with this feature, depending on the game developer.

As per VG 24/7, Sony has previously announced that it is currently looking into possible opportunities to pave a way for the PS Vita market to be a significant addition to the PS4.
