Beyonce’s Mom Tina Knowles Has A Yacht Wedding, Marries Actor Richard Lawson
Beyonce’s mom Tina Knowles got married to actor Richard Lawson on board a yacht in Newport Beach, California on April 12 evening. The designer mum looked beautiful in a white Romona Keveza dress, while the groom looked sophisticated in a white tuxedo, according to People. The all-white wedding had Beyonce, Jay Z, Blue Ivy and the pop star’s little sister Solange in attendance.
For the yacht wedding, “Eternity”, a 140 feet cruise ship moved in the waters of Newport Beach for the celebration. The theme of the wedding was all-white like that of Solange’s New Orleans wedding last year. There were around 100 guests for the wedding including Tina’s family members.
Their wedding that was held in the weekend had several festivities spread over from April 10. Solange wore a modern bridal-style dress and looked gorgeous. She was seen walking along with her husband Alex Ferguson holding hands as they headed towards the Indywood Cinema theatre. Beyonce, made an entry to the venue alone. “Mahogany” was screened at the theatre for the guests that starred Diana Ross.
This is the second marriage for Tina, who was previously married to Matthew Knowles. Tina, 61 and Lawson, 67 have been dating since 2013. After divorcing Beyonce’s dad in December 2011, Tina found her man Richard in 2013. Mathew also wed former model Gena Charmaine Avery in 2013. Meanwhile, Lawson is known for his role in movies like “All My Children” and the 1982 film “Poltergeist”.
Beyonce shared a picture on her website of the happy couple. The picture shows both of them dressed in white. While the groom looked dapper in a white tux, matching bow tie and shoes, Tina was ravishing in a white gown. Her gown was cinched at the waist with a golden slim belt. The bride kept her flowing tresses loose over her shoulders and wore a red pout and flashed her red manicure. They both had champagne glasses in hand to celebrate their marriage. Meanwhile, the huge glass panels, showed the view outside of the ocean and the sun.
