There are only two episodes left to air in “The Big Bang Theory” Season 8. The last season ended with Leonard (Johnny Galecki) and Penny (Kaley Cuoco) getting engaged. The current season have yet to show the couple talk about their wedding date. The final episode will see Leonard and Penny delving into this issue because of Sheldon (Jim Parsons), according to spoiler reports.

Entertainment Weekly has reported that Penny and Leonard will confront why they have not set a wedding date. And in an interview given to The Hollywood Reporter (THR), Steven Molaro, showrunner of the show, has said that “big moves are occurring” when it comes to Leonard and Penny.

According to THR’s report, the final episode of “The Big Bang Theory” Season 8 will also be Sheldon and Amy's (Mayim Bialik) fifth anniversary. Molaro said that Amy will be seen “pushing back” as she wants her and Sheldon's relationship to pick up speed, not progress slowly. Sheldon will be unable to fathom that and he will be seen giving the example of Leonard and Penny who have yet to set a wedding date despite being engaged for more than a year. This will make Leonard and Penny themselves ask the question about their wedding date. Molaro told THR that both the couples, Penny and Leonard and Sheldon and Amy will make “some huge, life-changing decisions.”

Meanwhile, TV Line recently reported that there is a big question mark on Emily (Laura Spencer) and Raj’s (Kunal Nayyar) relationship. It is in Season 7 that Raj and Emily hooked up and this season they haven’t had major issues till now. But it looks like that is going to change in the final episode of “The Big Bang Theory” Season 8.

Speaking about Emily and Raj, Molaro told TV Line, “Raj is realising that Emily may not be the right person for him. And he knows this in his heart, but he’s also never broken up with anybody in his life….”

“The Big Bang Theory” Season 8 is scheduled to air its final episode, titled “The Commitment Determination,” on May 07. The series has already been renewed for Season 9 and Season 10.
