'The Blacklist' season 4 episode 10 spoilers: Red explores a new business opportunity; Liz gets a new case; future crime scene depicted in diorama on ‘The Forecaster’
Original air date on NBC: January 12, 2017
"The Blacklist" may already be in its mid-season, but it looks like it is all new for Liz (Megan Boone) and Red (James Spader) after their rough experience with Alexander Kirk (Ulrich Thomsen) in the first half. However, fans of the show are all aware that it will only be a matter of time before they join forces once again and return to investigating.
Spoiler alert! This article contains “The Blacklist” spoilers. Read on if you would like to know what happens next before the next episode airs.
This upcoming episode’s title “The Forecaster” makes perfect sense since it will be all about a crime that is about to be committed. However, somebody knows that it is going to happen anyway.
It will also see Red exploring a new business venture. As viewers know of Red and his antics, this new opportunity might be all about Liz’s next challenge. The official synopsis on NBC provides that a new case will arrive upon Liz’s doorstep and that someone has left a diorama depicting a crime that will be committed soon.
The diorama is presented a very detailed and strange manner and, as if teasing through a note is not enough, the crime scene is going to be painted in 3D figures like how museums do it. This raises a lot of questions that will likely be answered in this latest installment.
In the meantime, series creator Jon Bokenkamp is reportedly leaning towards finishing Kirk’s (Ulrich Thomsen) story for good. There may be a lot of fan speculations that there could still be some juice to his story. It has to be noted, however, that there is no way that the mid-season finale was crafted to convince fans that Red’s biggest enemy is now gone forever.
Bokenkamp himself revealed that they have no plans to see Kirk again. He also admitted that Kirk might be tied to future plot details from time to time, especially that there are a lot of suspicious dealings between him and Red.
The next episode of “The Blacklist” will air January 12, 2017 Thursday at 10 p.m. on NBC. It will also air on Channel Seven in Australia.
