Blackpool manager, Ian Holloway has maintained that AC Milan’s midfielder, Gennaro Gattuso was ‘out of order’ when he grabbed Spurs assistant coach, Joe Jordan. The latter however added, Holloway has reacted ‘dignified’ even after younger Gattuso had headbutted the former international striker.

The Tribalfootball.com reported Holloway’s reiteration of Gennaro’s ugly attack and said that the Italian midfielder ‘acted outside the spirit of the game when he first grabbed Jordan by the throat and then headbutted him later’.

"How out of order was Mr Gattuso and how dignified was Joe Jordan with the whole thing?" Holloway was quoted as saying by the Tribalfootball.com.

Though he respected Jordan for the manner in which he handled that disturbing incident, Holloway admitted that Jordan could have reacted differently knowing how Jordan had been in the past.

Holloway said, "If you knew Joe - he was Bristol City manager when I was a Bristol Rovers player - where he got that restraint from, I do not know!”.

He added, "But he managed to control himself and I'm sure that is because of where he is and how he appreciates working with Harry (Redknapp) at that club.”

Gattuso was handed a four-match suspension by the disciplinary committee of the Union of European Football Association (UEFA), asserting that the AC Milan midfielder have ‘assaulted Jordan, a renowned hardman and international striker who also played for Milan in the old days.
