'Bling Ring' Emma Watson Heads Back to Brown University
The fun and games are officially over for "Bling Ring" star, Emma Watson. The brunette beauty is set to head back to college at Brown University this Fall 2013. In an interview with Rookie Mag, the former "Harry Potter" star talks about focusing on a good education and missing out on a few parties.
J.K. Rowling definitely hired the perfect actress to portray do-gooder and "brightest witch of her age", Hermione Grangier. Hermione certainly excelled at Hogwarts and her actress, Emma Watson is out to do the same. The 23-year old actress is set to head back to her Ivy League school by fall.
"I really like the fact that it has a very open curriculum, that there aren't any requirements," explained Watson, adding, "Really, I've kind of been in charge of my own education since I started out on Potter when I was 9 or 10, and I liked that I could design my own major if I wanted to, and I could take independent studies if I wanted to on subjects that weren't necessarily in the curriculum."
"And it attracts a certain type of student. [Someone] very independent who wants to take responsibility and control of what they're learning. That really appealed to me as well," continued Watson.
Emma had recently wrapped up shoot for the film "Noah" alongside "Perks of Being a Wallflower" co-star, Logan Lerman. As for Emma's bad-girl breakout film, "Bling Ring" is headed to cinemas worldwide by June that has got her fans antsy in anticipation.
Yet, Emma has already finished promotion for the films and is ready to head back to the quiet life of Brown University. Unlike her character Nikki in "Bling Ring", Emma Watson appeals better to the un-glitz and glamorous life.
"It's interesting, because people say things to me like, 'It's really cool that you don't go out and get drunk all the time and go to clubs,'' stated Emma, adding, "...and I'm just like, I mean, I appreciate that, but I'm kind of an introverted kind of person just by nature, it's not like a conscious choice that I'm making necessarily. It's genuinely who I am."
