Middleweight boxer, Peter Mitrevski is the latest victim of the strong of drive-by shooting at the inner west in Sydney over the weekend.

Citing the reports by News Ltd., the Australian Associated Press said that Mitrevski was shot in an auto centre on Marriskville Road, Marrickville at around 6p.m. yesterday.

Reports from the police showed that Mitrevski was found on the driveway of the centre and was immediately taken to the hospital. The middleweight boxer is reported to have survived the incident and his condition stabilized by the doctors.

“Early investigations suggest a number of shots were fired, possibly from a white sedan with P plates,” a police statement was quoted as saying by a statement by the Sydney police.

The News Ltd said that the police believe an estimated eight bullets were fired in the incident.

Mitrevski is the son of veteran and professional boxer Peter Mitrevski. He has recently fought undercard following the defeat of Garth Wood in December.
