Britney Spears likely to top U.S. Billboard despite
Records show that “Femme Fatale” is expected to sell between 280,000 and 300,000 copies by April 3.
Industry experts projects that singer Britney Spears is likely to follow Chris Brown to top the U.S. chart next week, judging by the sales already recorded of her “Femme Fatale” album released Tuesday.
According to Reuters, records show that “Femme Fatale” is expected to sell between 280,000 and 300,000 copies by April 3. The industry experts even predicted that Spears’ latest album could even be recorded as the second largest sales week for 2011 after English pop singer, Adele’s “21”. Adele’s album was recorded to have sold 352, 000 earlier in March.
Chris Brown’s “F.A.M.E.” topped the chart this week and next week’s new list on Billboard 200 Chart is expected to be released Wednesday.
Reuters noted that Spears’ had five out of her six studio albums to have topped the chart. Her 2008 album, “Circus” had sold 506,000 copies and only her fifth album was recorded to have never reached No. 1 in the billboard and started at 290,000 copies in 2007.
