Brock Lesnar to Rule Over UFC Again?
Wrestler Brock Lesnar once dominated the UFC when he ruled the heavyweight division.
The heavyweight champion attended the UFC event. However, details were still under wraps as Lesnar is still under the WWE contract that prevents a wrestler allowed to compete for any other organization in either a wrestling match or MMA fight.
It seems that Brock Lesnar was disappointed with some of the WWE officials. There were reports that after the Lesnar's return fight to the WWE with John Cena, he was furious at the fact that Cena cut a promo after the match. There were reports that Lesnar threw chairs and yelled to several WWE officials.
Dana White was cornered and asked if Lesnar will be appearing at the UFC. He answered vaguely with "I don't know, apparently now he's a big fan. He was here; I think that says it all."
His appearance in UFC should not be an indication that he will come back, as according to WWE quarterly report showed that the Over the Limit pay per view buy rate doubled from last year's number. This is a strong indication that the WWE would have no interest in letting a draw like Lesnar go.
However, it is possible that Lesnar is hesitating about his choice to return to the WWE. Aside from the raised salary that is around 5 million for one year, there was not much point for Lesnar to return to.
In the UFC, on the other hand, Lesnar will be able to earn close to same amount and only have to fight three times a year. The only downside is the possibility of getting beaten in the UFC but Lesnar is already used to that.
Whatever is the speculation, the fact remains that Lesnar is under contract to the WWE until after Wrestlemania 29. Thus, that is the only time when he can jump over the fence towards the UFC.
