Bruce Jenner is threatening to sue various media outfits for the photos of him in a dress published last week. In the blurred photo, Jenner was sporting a long striped dress. Meanwhile, support for Jenner on his transition transcended the US, and reached Australia.

Page Six reports that Jenner wants to sue CNN and NY Daily News for violating his privacy. The two organisations ran stories of Bruce Jenner with the photos in question. CNN in particular, showed the picture on national TV in a segment hosted by Don Lemon, entitled, “Caught on Camera: Bruce Jenner’s New Look?” The pictures have now been removed.

Jenner’s representative told Page Six that the media outlets just bought these "Bruce in a dress" photos, but the photos cannot be used because they were taken in a illegal method. “Both Daily News and CNN pulled the photos sold to them by X17 once they found out they were illegally obtained. The agency no longer is selling those photos [since] they confirmed they were shot illegally,” the representative explained.

In California, people who would obtain photos illegally resulting into the invasion of the privacy of the ones in photo can be held liable. Using of the telephoto lenses to capture images is a prime example. According to Jenner’s lawyer, Marty Singer, his client is going to enforce rights to privacy. The photos were clearly taken from a distance with the use of sophisticated technology.

Even though the pictures were sneakily shot, Bruce need not worry that these would cause him ridicule. Varying reactions abound Bruce Jenner’s transition into a woman after his comprehensive interview with Diane Sawyer aired. In general however, Kylie and Kendall Jenner’s father announcement that he is a woman was received positively, in the US and even beyond. Many claimed what he did can be considered heroic. His statement on the interview that he wants to have the chance to wear nail polish until it chips off caught the attention of his supporters in Australia. US magazine reports that Aussie radio hosts Kyle and Jackie O launched a social media campaign called the #PaintYourNailsForBruce to show support. Under the campaign, males are encouraged to wear nail polish and tweet the picture of their manicured hands or post these pictures on their Instagram. The KIIS 1065 hosts even went to Sydney’s Central Station to pain the nails of willing commuters.
