Looks like the moon is still on the side of Canadian singer Bryan Adams as he has continued to be showered with blessings recently.

First the 51 year-old singer has confirmed having a baby with personal assistant Alicia Grimaldi. This week, the first-time dad is being honored for his contribution as an artists, a songwriter, guitarist, a bassist and producer.

According to the Associated Press, Adams has got his Hollywood Walk of Fame Star Monday in front of the Musicians Institute.

AP said that the “Cut Like a Knife” hitmaker recalled visiting Hollywood Boulevard when he was 16 and remember finding himself ‘marveling at the stars’. The singer said, noted AP that he was ‘humbled by seeing his own star’.

The first-time dad is known for his hits including, “Summer of ‘69”, “Run to You”, and “[Everything I Do] I Do It For You”.

The Grammy-winning singer has his own foundation, called The Bryan Adams Foundation, which according to AP provides grants for projects focusing on the elderly, victims of wars and natural disasters, and those who are victims of mental and physical abuse. True to one of the objectives of his foundation, IBTimes reported that the singer has recently called on his fellow musicians to organize to benefit the victims of Japan quake.Read the full report here.
