‘Call of Duty: Black Ops 3’ eSports Plans, Domination Mode And Wii U Release Hinted By Dev
Following the reveal of the newest trailer for “Call of Duty: Black Ops 3,” developer Treyarch has been very open and willing to give more insights into its latest project. Some new information have been revealed in a series of tweets and findings.
One of these comes from Treyarch’s from Vonderhaar. In a tweet conversation spotted by Gearnuke, he stated that the Domination mode for the title. Unlike in the past, Domination mode will not have a time limit this time around. Instead, the mode will end once the ceiling score is hit.
“Playtested Domination with no time-limit, round switch whenever it hits 100 first, and a win at 200,” said Vonderhaar via Twitter.
It appears that this may be one of the ways that Treyarch will give more variety to “Call of Duty: Black Ops 3.” This is not the first time that the Domination mode received tweaks from the developer. Previously, it had rods where players can change sides to avoid giving the winning team too much of an advantage.
GameSpot also adds that Wii U players may still have hope in getting a piece of the action in “Call of Duty: Black Ops 3.” The Activision Support Twitter page has responded to a fan query stating that they should stay tuned for Wii U releases. This is in response to the previously reported incident, where the Nintendo ID can now be connected to the Call of Duty website.
That event had spurred on speculations, because the title has only been confirmed for three platforms so far. According to the source, this would not be a surprise, in case the teaser actually happens. The previous iteration, “Call of Duty: Black Ops 2” was also launched for the Wii U.
Finally, an upcoming reveal of eSports in relation to “Call of Duty: Black Ops 3,” which Gamepur reports to being revealed more at Gamescom 2015. While there are no confirmations or specific details, it does clearly show that Treyarch is looking at “Call of Duty: Black Ops 3” with a competitive agenda in mind. It makes sense that the next reveal date of details related to the game will be at Gamescom, since “Call of Duty: Black Ops 3” is slated for release on Nov. 6 on the PS4, Xbox One and PC.
