Cameron Diaz-Benji Madden Wedding: Actress Gives Moving Speech To New Husband In 15-Minute Wedding Ceremony

Actress Cameron Diaz married Benji Madden, the lead singer of the rock band Good Charlotte, on Monday evening, Jan. 5. The latest reports on the Cameron Diaz-Benji Madden wedding revealed that the 42-year-old "Sex Tape" star gave a moving speech to her 35-year-old husband in front of the guests at the reception.

"I waited because I didn't want to settle. Now I got the best man ever. My special man. He's mine," Diaz stated with a smile on her face during her speech, according to an exclusive Mail Online report. As for Benji Madden's speech, the music artist gathered some laughs from the guests when he talked about what he wanted to be in control of during their wedding day.

"I only asked to be in control of two things: The music and the cake," Madden shared. An E!Online report revealed that about 96 guests attended the 15-minute wedding ceremony of the couple.

An unnamed eyewitness shared to the entertainment Web site that the celebrity guests, including Benji Madden's twin brother, Joel Madden, Nicole Richie, Lionel Richie and Gwyneth Paltrow arrived Cameron Diaz's home in Bevery Hills before the wedding ceremony started at 5 p.m.

The eyewitness further revealed that the guests started to head outside for the wedding party after the vows were shared at about 5:15 p.m. "Benji gave a couple of toasts. Cameron also joined him for one of them," an anonymous source revealed to E!News.

During dinner, the guests listened to the music coming from the piano player, a DJ and Ryan Adams while enjoying the view of the flowers from Velvet Garden and the delicious cake that was served at about 10 p.m. However, the bride reportedly experienced a couple of blunders during her wedding day. Mail Online claimed that the lights flickered and then went out for ten seconds before Cameron Diaz's bridal entrance.

The actress also struggled to change dresses after the wedding ceremony. The other celebrity guests at the Cameron Diaz-Benji Madden wedding ceremony include Judd Apatow, Leslie Mann, Toni Collette, Reese Witherspoon, "Charlie's Angels" co-star and close friend Drew Barrymore and her husband Will Kopelman.
