'Captain America: Civil War' First look At Costumes -- More Blue For Steve Rogers And ‘Bleeding Edge’ Iron Man Suit
The concept arts of costumes worn by Steve Rogers and Iron Man in “Captain America: Civil War” have leaked online. The images reveal the subtle variations in the costume design and the colours used. [Spoiler alert]
Steve Rogers and Iron Man will be the two main characters in “Captain America: Civil War.” Umberto Gonzalez posted this image of a concept art of Steve Rogers in his superhero costume. The costume from “Avengers 2” has been included in the photo for easy comparison. Readers will note that the new costume has more blue and patches of red have been removed.
The new costume also appears to make the character look bulky, especially around the legs. Here is another image that shows the evolution of the costume of Steve Rogers over the years. Commenting on the image, fans of the franchise pointed out their favourite costume from the movies released so far.
The other major character in “Captain America: Civil War” is Tony Stark. The character has built several Iron Man suits so far in the movies and this image shows the new design of the Mark 46 suit in the upcoming movie. The costume appears to be using a darker tone of red and one of the fans commented on the image by saying that the suit looks similar to the “Bleeding Edge” armour from the comic books.
Another piece of information about the upcoming movie, shared by Umberto, is that the actress Emily VanCamp will be reprising her role as Agent 13 in “Captain America: Civil War.” This image of the actress was posted by Umberto Gonzalez on his Instagram account.
Emily VanCamp played the role of Agent 13, also known as Sharon Carter, in the 2014 block buster movie “Captain America: The Winter Soldier.” The actress did not reprise her role in “Avengers 2,” where the superheroes assembled to take on their new enemy called Ultron.
Filming of “Captain America: Civil War” is currently underway in Atlanta. The main plot of the movie revolves around a new legislation that governments across the globe introduce, after the events of “Avengers 2,” to regulate superhero activity. The legislation divides the superheroes with two factions emerging with opposing viewpoints.
