‘Captain America: Civil War' official trailer release date teased
The official trailer for “Captain America: Civil War” will be released in December. According to a recent report, it’s unlikely for the preview to be released online. Instead, the trailer will be revealed when “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” comes out in theatres.
Sources of Collider said that the first official trailer for “Captain America: Civil War” will be released on opening weekend of the "Star Wars" movie. The J.J. Abrams film comes in theatres on Dec. 18, so it’s supposedly likely for fans to get their first look at the Marvel flick on Dec. 17.
A Twitter user with the handle name Russo Brothers reportedly confirmed the Marvel film trailer’s release with “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.” It has yet to be verified if the account actually belongs to the “Captain America: Civil War” co-directors Joe and Anthony Russo, but a couple of days back, the Twitter user shared a photo which seemingly teases the release of the trailer of the Marvel film.
The user posted a collage of two close-up photos, one of which appears to be the star in Captain America’s suit and shield. It's hard to determine where the other picture came from, but a Collider reader named Eric claimed it was from a “Star Wars” classic poster showing a very young Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher. It’s believed the photos hint the release of the trailer with “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.”
According to Collider, it's possible Marvel chose to release the first official trailer for “Captain America: Civil War” with “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” because of viewership. Understandably, there would be hundreds of people flocking to the theatres to watch the Disney film, not just on opening weekend but the succeeding days as well.
A trailer for “Captain America: Civil War” was also released during the first ever Asia Comic Convention held in the Philippines last month. One of the event’s participants said the preview opens with a scene from the African market and shows Black Widow (Scarlet Johansson), Falcon (Anthony Mackie) and Captain America (Chris Evans) attacking a van filled with explosives.
In the new trailer, an impressive Cap and Crossbones’ (Frank Grillo) fight scene would reportedly be featured.
