‘Captain America: Civil War’- Robert Downey Jr. Posts Disagreement Over Dress Colour By Steve And Tony
Robert Downey Jr. may be playing up the rivalry between Steve Rogers and Tony Stark in “Captain America: Civil War.” The actor posted an image of the two characters arguing over the colour of a dress that has become a subject of an intense debate on the internet.
Is the colour of the dress blue or white? That has been a debate that has been raging on popular social media websites. Robert Downey Jr. posted an image of Steve Rogers and Tony Stark arguing over the issue on his official Facebook account. Captain America is of the opinion that the dress is white, while Iron Man thinks the colour is blue.
The debate started when a Tumblr user posted an image of the dress in question and requested help to accurately identify the colour of the dress. The image was posted on the profile of the user with the account handle swiked. Her post quickly went viral with many people registering their opinion.
Apparently, some people see the dress as white and gold and others see it as blue and black. The person who posted the image said that her class debated the issue and half the class saw one colour and the other half saw another. She also said that the colour of the dress changed right in front of her eyes and this made her wonder how it was possible.
With Tony Stark and Steve Rogers from “Captain America: Civil War” joining the debate, movie buffs are also registering their opinion. The post by Robert Downey Jr. has been shared more than forty thousand times and has over ten thousand comments.
Fans of the movie franchise had different opinions as to why people were seeing different colours in the dress. One of the fans opined that the dress had superpowers and is actually a form of camouflage. Another fan commented that Jarvis would be able to give the most accurate description of the colour, since he is not human. Jarvis’ description, as per the comment, would be R 93, G 76 and B 50. In other words, the dress is blue.
Opinions are going to be just as polarised in “Captain America: Civil War.” The movie will see Steve Rogers and Tony Stark each leading their respective faction of superheroes, who are divided about a new government law aimed at regulating superhero activity.
