Details on “Spider-Man’s” cameo appearance in “Captain America: Civil War” have been scarce. However, a recent report claims the web crawler may be involved in a major action sequence after Tom Holland (Peter Parker) was spotted in Germany during what’s believed to be the last week of filming for the sequel.

Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige reportedly said during the Walt Disney D23 Convention on August 15 that “Captain America: Civil War” will be on its final days of production within the week. Comic Book Movie claims the sequel is by now shooting the rumoured epic battle scene for its finale. Coincidentally, Holland was spotted by fans in Germany where filming is taking place.

An Instagram photo of the new “Spider-Man” star in Germany was shared by user deer.dehaan along with the caption, “@tomholland2013 after filming #civilwar in Leipzig, Germany. Look at that Spiderman i'm looking forward to see him in action!” Another photo shows Holland posing with a fan. It was captioned, “I met Tom, the super cute new Spiderman omg, in Leipzig. He is really a lovely Sweetheart thank you for taking your time twice a day.”

Cosmic Book News says the actor’s presence in the country suggests that he is not done filming his scenes for the movie as was previously reported. It reportedly also hints not just a cameo appearance but a major role as “Spider-Man” in “Captain America: Civil War.” However, the actor has remained tight-lipped about his character’s involvement in the sequel during an interview with Entertainment Weekly, or EW, for its Fall Movie Preview Issue.

“I've been really strongly advised that I'm not allowed to say anything on that note. I'm really sorry. Trust me I'd love to tell you. But I have one person staring at me right now going, 'No!’” Holland told EW.

Holland was officially added to the full cast list of “Captain America: Civil War” in a press release sent by Marvel at the D23 Convention. His name appeared for the first time along with the other new actors in the Marvel Cinematic Universe such as Paul Rudd (“Ant-Man”), Chadwick Boseman (Black Panther), William Hurt (General Thaddeus 'Thunderbolt' Ross) and Daniel Brühl (Baron Zemo).
