Carlo Ancelotti has claimed that he is looking forward to a return to the Premier League as manager and will consider any offers that come his way from January 2016 onwards.

Ancelotti left Real Madrid earlier in the summer and was also linked with the vacant post at Liverpool after they sacked Brendan Rodgers. However, the Merseyside club decided to go for a younger alternative in Jurgen Klopp, the former Borussia Dortmund manager.

There could well be plenty of managerial changes at the top clubs in England. Manchester City’s Manuel Pellegrini’s position has come under scrutiny, with Bayern Munich’s Pep Guardiola constantly linked with the position. Chelsea’s Jose Mourinho is also under pressure after the team’s woeful start to the season in both the Premier League and the Champions League. Added to this is the fact that Louis van Gaal’s contract with Manchester United ends in 2017 while Guardiola’s contract with Bayern ends in 2016, at the end of the current season.

"My holidays will last at least until the end of the year and then I'm going to get back into coaching. If I get a call, I'll talk, evaluate and decide. Unless something strange happens, I'll be ready to get back in the saddle in January. I'd like to return to the Premier League. It's the ideal place for the way football is played. You have to work hard, but the pressures are right. Before I retire, I'd like to coach in England again. I'm going to have to think about retiring soon -- let's say in five to six years," Ancelotti told Corriere dello Sport.

The 56-year-old has managed A.C Milan, Juventus, Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain in addition to Real Madrid, and is one of only two managers, along with former Liverpool manager Bob Paisley, to have won the European Cup/UEFA Champions League three times. He had also won the competition twice in his playing days. His last win in the competition was with Real Madrid, who finally won their ‘Decima’ under him in 2013-14.
