Carole Middleton reveals exciting plans for Prince George, Princess Charlotte this Christmas
Royal grandmother Carole Middleton is gearing up for the holidays with plans for her grandchildren Prince George and Princess Charlotte. It will be baby Charlotte’s first Christmas this year.
The mother of Kate Middleton recently shared her plans for a crafty Christmas with the two young royals, Hello reports. “We’re all busy planning festive parties and get-togethers, but taking time to choose and make those all-important festive touches is a must,” Middleton wrote in the latest edition of Homemaker magazine.
The little royals are expected to help their grandmom and the family make a paper-and-string sew-your-own Christmas garland, People reports. Middleton wants to get the toddlers excited about the upcoming festivities. She said that the garland-making would be a great family activity and is perfect for kids.
The 60-year-old also plans to engage little George and baby Charlotte in baking. The mother of three said that all children love to bake, and it would be fun to see Prince George with the “Very Merry Cupcake Set.”
To keep the children entertained during Christmas, Middleton suggests coming up with a “Nutcracker Calendar” that turns the traditional English advent calendar into a pretty charm bracelet. She said that it is a brilliant twist where each draw is filled with a delicate charm that together make up a charm bracelet. She advised to keep the trinket box for decoration as it would make a beautiful keepsake.
Middleton, who is the co-founder of Party Pieces, also gave several tips on decoration, E Online reports. She provided the steps in making an elegant evening table setting with small electric lights. According to her, golden table lights are a must this Christmas. She also recommended “weaving them through a Christmas wreath for a centrepiece.”
Middleton added that everyone should also look forward to a big and colourful New Year’s Eve party. She said that she loves throwing a party with her homemade confetti balloon kit. According to her, the confetti, glitter and glitzy ribbons amp up the house's festive mood.
Prince George and Princess Charlotte will celebrate Christmas at their country home in Anmer Hall with their parents Kate and Prince William as well as the Middeltons.
