‘Castle’ Season 8 Episode 7 Spoilers: Stana Katic returns as Castle surprises Beckett on first wedding anniversary

“Castle” Season 8 returned last week, with Episode 6, after a mini break. The episode, titled “Cool Boys,” saw the return of Adam Baldwin to reprise his role as Ethan Slaughter, but Stana Katic, who plays Kate Beckett, was missing in action. She will be returning in Episode 7, titled “The Last Seduction,” as Rick Castle (Nathan Fillion) plans to surprise Beckett on their first wedding anniversary.

However, it is Beckett who may end up giving Castle the most shocking surprise of his life, as the preview clip hints that Beckett is set on divorce. The preview opens with Castle telling Beckett, “Tomorrow is our anniversary and I just can't bear the thought of spending it without you," and in the closing scene, a woman -- who may be a lawyer -- is seen asking Beckett, “Are you set on divorce.”

Meanwhile, the synopsis of “The Last Seduction” reveals that Castle and Beckett will be seen investigating New York’s elite after the brutal murder of a grifting seducer. One of the sneak peeks provides a glimpse of Beckett teaming up with Hayley (Toks Olagundoye) for an undercover operation in a spa.

Another sneak peek reveals that Castle has enlisted the help of Ryan (Seamus Dever) and Esposito (Jon Huertas) and others at 12th precinct to execute his big surprise for Beckett.

There are already some details available on Episode 8 of “Castle” Season 8, which is the fall finale episode. The episode is titled “Mr. & Mrs. Castle,” and it is scheduled to air on Nov. 23. TV Line reported that the mid-season finale will focus on LokSat and Beckett’s plan to unlock the mystery behind it.

The report quoted co-showrunner Alexi Hawley as saying, “Ultimately what she’s [Beckett] trying to do is find a way to get to LokSat through the drugs.”

He said that the drug pipeline that Vulcan Simmons (Jonathan Adams) and William Bracken (Jack Coleman) used is still open, and Beckett will try to match “the unique fingerprint of that heroin to a different dealer or a different distribution hub, then she knows she’s close to LokSat.” She got the fingerprints from the drugs that Vulcan sold.
