The 'Three Stooges' have always been known to be three harmless characters who aim to perform some slapstick comedy. But it seems that this will not be the case for the reboot as they have caused some complaints made by a religious organization.

It was The Hollywood Reporter who shared that the Catholic League did not find it funny to see how nuns were depicted in the movie. This, in particular, is for the roles played by Kate Upton and Larry David.

Larry David plays the role of Sister Mary-Mengele, while Upton is Sister Bernice with the attire of an extremely sexy bikini. There was one scene in the movie that featured the model in swimwear that is very revealing, with a gigantic rosary that she wore around her neck.

Apparently, the Catholic League is highly against it. They consider it as a great disrespect to the Catholic religion and thinks that the portrayal treats Christianity like trash. The League head, Bill Donahue, said that the original television show did not mock the characters of nuns but its movie version is guilty of it.

Fox studios have not responded to the negative reaction of The League.

The movie will hit the big screen this weekend, starring Will Sasso, Chris Diamantopoulos, and Sean Hayes.
