Emma Roberts may have struck down an untuned chord and rumors have it that she's already over the twang. "Glee" star Chord Overstreet is back in business, ladies, and by the looks of it - so is "Springbreakers'" Emma Roberts.

Though they have allegedly parted ways, there is no talk coming out of bitternesss between the two. Apparently, with over nine months of dating the two actors have managed to "grow apart." Now as to how that happened, there are a few rumors already up the mill.

"They're just on two different paths in life. They just grew apart and decided to part ways," shared a source to Just Jared, which first brought out the news of the couple's split.

That would greatly explain why Chord Overstreet, appeared on the red carpet at the last Screen Actors Guild Awards without his blonde beauty by his side. Still, Chord appeared to be in high spirits and his split with Emma has not affected him one bit.

"Chord seemed just fine at the after-parties. He capped off the night at the exclusive Chateau Marmont with his co-stars," shared a source.

If Chord is doing fine then what news of Emma Roberts have come out since their split? The 20-year old actress is quite busy with filming her latest film, "Springbreakers", alongside actor James Franco and singer-actress Selena Gomez. A representative for Emma was also unavailable for a comment. However, a few sources claim that Julia Roberts' niece is doing equally well without her "chord".

Young as they are, Emma and Chord may indeed have grown apart but with a lot of projects lined up for the both of them then it would hopefully not remind them of their break up. Hollywood is of course one large place alone to bump into love.

"They're both young kids, they had crushes on each other but the relationship ran its course," shared an insider to US Weekly. "She isn't and wasn't looking for a serious thing."

It could have been a great relationship if these two learned to manage their time. They could learn from a few younger Hollywood couples who have managed to be together for more than a year such as the "Robsten" or "Selieber" duo.
