Now that Thanksgiving is over, we have officially entered holiday season. Expect a landslide of delicious starchy courses, sticky sweet desserts that pack on the pounds and tantalizing liquid calories.

The season of forgetting diets are upon us and soon, a regretful January will follow. T

his year, why not make good on your promise not to get sidetracked by holiday feasts and yummy leftovers? Why not avoid diet guilt by taking these celebrity trainers' tips to heart.

  • Bobby Strom (worked with Jessica Biel, Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively): Give yourself one meal a day to indulge. Make sure that the meal is worth it. Don't take on unnecessary pounds by picking at snacks like pretzels and candy canes just because they're there.
  • Gunnar Peterson (trains regularly with Kim Kardashian and Sofia Vergara): Schedule your training sessions early in the morning with a workout buddy. Also mentally prepare yourself for parties; try thinking along the lines of "I will not gain weight" instead of "I will work off the weight."
  • Harley Pasternak (host of ABC's "The Revolution"): Here's a nifty trick, park your car 3 blocks from the party. This will give you a few minutes of exercise to rev up your metabolism as well as give you exercise after. At a buffet, don't pile everything you want in 1 go. Choose vegetables first, then protein, then fruit. This way, you'll eat everything you want at a moderate pace instead of over indulging.
  • Mandy Ingber (trains Helen Hunt and Jennifer Aniston): Indulge only in treats that are homemade-you'll be surprised at how much pre packaged treats this process eliminates.
  • Andrea Orbeck (works with Victoria's Secret Angels): Modify your menu, there's always a healthier option. Multitasking is also important-use washing dishes as an excuse to do sit ups and do 50 crunches before starting your day.
