‘In Certain Places, I Might Get Booed More Than Roman’ – Daniel Bryan
Daniel Bryan and Roman Reigns have such mutual respect for each other that many are sceptical that the buddy aspect will not translate well into the inaugural pay-per-view event WWE Fastlane. Just last week at Smackdown the two men paired up to dispose six other tag teams and show how much chemistry the two fan favourites have.
This said respect was also evident in the latest interview given by Daniel Bryan when he guested in the Turnbuckle Weekly with Chuck Carroll. The former heavyweight champion of the world relayed that he said that the negative fan reception reigns received during his victory at the 2015 Royal Rumble cannot be all pinned on the venue and added a different take on the incident.
“In different places people are going to react differently. In certain places I might get booed more than Roman,” Bryan told Carroll per CBS Local.
Bryan also added that the WWE was in a hurry to bring him back to the ring that he was actually cleared just the day before he participated in the Rumble. He added that he thought that it was only at about 90 per cent probability that nothing could go wrong from his return from a serious neck injury. As it turns out, the precaution might have been the main reason why he had limited exposure during the last event and was eliminated early. Now that he and Reigns are booked into the main event of Fastlane and that the chance to face Brock “The Beast Incarnate” at Wrestlemania 31 is on the line, Bryan is ready for the big show.
The build up to the big event was cleverly played by the WWE during the last Raw Episode. Both Bryan and Reigns stood as sideline distractions during their respective matches with Big Show and Kane. What was interesting was what transpired after the Reigns vs. big Show match. Bryan and Reigns appeared to have consented to a gentleman’s handshake only to simultaneously turn around and instigate a brawl that spilled to the crowds. Reigns who showed his advantage in physique was stunned with the relentless power of the much smaller Bryan.
Only a legion of referees to could stop the two contenders from finishing what should be reserved for Sunday’s WWE Fastlane. Watch below how the two fighters have successfully hyped up their upcoming fight:
