A diplomat from El Salvador has asked the newly unemployed “Men” actor, Charlie Sheen to issue an apology for what he regards as a disparaging remark and an insult to El Salvador and its people.
El Salvadoran consul general, Walter Duran, according to the Associated Press, made the call at a conference scheduled in reaction to Sheen’s remark at the height of his media rants over the past few weeks.
Duran was referring to the disturbing remarks made by Sheen reported exclusive by RadarOnline.com early this week. In the report on Sheen’s reactions to facing her estranged wife, Brooke Mueller in court over the custody battle with their twins, the embattled actor was quoted telling friends that ‘he’s rather move to f*cking El Salvador and sell shoes”.
At the same conference, the diplomat, also suggested that Sheen may ‘consider opening a shoe factory’ in El Salvador. Duran explained that this is the best time to invest on the business since El Salvador has recently begun handing shoes to needy students.
The consul general has expressed hopes for Sheen to "correct" his remarks about El Salvador.
