The lawyers for Charlie Sheen and Brooke Mueller, has announced Thursday in a joint statement that the former couple has finalized a custody agreement over their twin sons.

“Brooke and Charlie have reached an agreement that resolves their differences,” the couple’s respective lawyers were quoted saying in a joint statement by PEOPLE.com.

The statement explained that the finalized agreement has been inked in consideration of the former couple’s children.

The statement read, “For the benefit of the children, the terms of their agreement will not be disclosed. They ask the public for privacy on this matter.”

The custody deal was reached after two weeks of negotiation between “Two and a Half Men” former frontman, Charlie Sheen and his ex-wife, Brooke Mueller.

Mueller was granted the temporary custody by the court after she detailed the death threats against her made by Sheen.

The couple’s lawyers had emphasized their clients’ wishes not to disclose details of the agreement.
