Original air date on NBC: Feb. 14, 2017
The previous episode of “Chicago Fire,” titled “An Agent of the Machine,” finally introduced Casey Severide’s (Taylor Kinney) mystery man, who was identified as a would-be terrorist. Of course, the man is pissed and would be coming for the whole firehouse. That’s not to mention that he seems to have some strange powers. After disappearing from a burning building, he also disappears from a grocery store just before Gabriela Dawson (Monica Raymund) found him at the popcorn aisle.

Wallace Boden (Eamonn Walker) wanted to shut the firehouse down, but Christopher Hermann (David Eigenberg) refused, saying it was probably part of Eddie’s scheme. An assist from Jay Halstead (Jesse Lee Soffer), who had big moments last week, was also featured. Jay already appeared in “Chicago PD.”
In episode 13, titled “Trading in Scuttlebutt,” the firehouse is going to get called to help out with a very dangerous incident. It is also during this crucial moment that Chief Boden will get caught up in a situation where he has to make a very swift decision that will override previous orders from Chief Anderson (Michael Hanrahan).
The YouTube promo teases that Severide is going make a big decision, which involves him potentially moving to Springfield. This could mean that he could get a promotion and a job nearer to Anna (Charlotte Sullivan).
The synopsis also reveals that Anderson will be raising hell. It was his firehouse that first responded to the call and he will feel that his authority was undermined. He also thinks that this will damage his reputation. Because of this, he will use his power to make things miserable for Boden and for the rest of the house.
Season 5 episode 13 of “Chicago Fire” will air on Feb. 14 on NBC in the US. In Australia, it airs on FOX8.
