The official synopsis for this upcoming episode of “Chicago Fire” reveals that a dangerous warehouse fire will put the Truck and the whole squad at risk. Tensions will flare up for Gabriela Dawson (Monica Raymund) and Matthew Casey (Jesse Spencer) when Dawson’s father overstays at their home. In the meantime, Casey will continue to fight for his first responders bill. Mouch (Randy McHolland) will also be facing a tough decision regarding his own future and Christopher Hermann (David Eigenberg) will resort to tremendous efforts to make a little boy happy.
What Hermann is about to do will be done with one of Chicago’s most popular teams, the Chicago Cubs, notes Cartermatt. This could be quite a relief to see considering a warm moment after delivering one heavy drama plot point after another.
As for Dawson and Casey, they will be feeling the grip of how the world around them has changed over the course of the previous season. Fans might remember to how they were when Louie was with them and when Dawson’s parents still lived together. The official promo also shows that somebody could be in danger and this could mean another heartbreaking moment for Casey and Dawson.
In other news, there will be a couple fewer people in the Windy City as some actors will be leaving the show. It has been confirmed that co-creator Michael Brandt, as well as director Joe Chappelle, will be exiting the series. Derek Haas will be singlehandedly running the show in its fifth season.
