Did the Gods see the future of the "Thor" star or was it the magical mirror of "Snow White and the Huntsman" that led to this favorable outcome? Well, whatever the reason there is, Chris Hemsworth will finally be a daddy.

After being married for a year to Spanish actress, Elsa Pataky, it's high time that they finally have a baby. His wife confirms the happy news to the Spanish magazine, Hola!

"The balance in this first year as a married couple is wonderful, it's been a constant honeymoon," shares Elsa.

"I feel so fortunate to have found the person that completes me." added Pataky.

Hemsworth's first baby will be expected this spring and though for most couples knowing the gender earlier on is a must, for this couple it really doesn't matter.

"Since it's our first child we don't care if it's a boy or girl, our only wish is that it's healthy," explains Elsa.

Apart from having to learn the basics of being a dad from his older brother, Chris also has to brush up on his Spanish. Elsa jokingly comments that it won't only be the baby items Chris would be busy worrying about but rather the language he'd be using to talk to their soon-to-be kid.

"I'm only going to speak to the baby in Spanish. I already told my husband, 'Get ready fast with Spanish because, if not, you're not going to be able to understand what we say," says the actress.

Chris has got a lot of time on his hands to brush up on speaking Spanish, but right now all he has to worry about is his wife's pregnancy cravings which Elsa admits to being the worse of its kind.

"Everything healthy I used to like, I now don't like. All of a sudden, the only things that sound good to me are all the sweets in the world, hamburgers, and french fries," shared Elsa. "I have never eaten popcorn, and with the pregnancy I eat it all the time."

Well, Elsa there's a first time for everything. The proud couple is "delighted and very excited" for the newest addition to their family. As for "Thor's'" fans, they're hoping it'll be a baby boy.
