Chris Hemsworth Makes A Cryptic Swipe At Liam Hemsworth's Relationship With Miley Cyrus In GQ January Issue -- Report
The January issue of GQ magazine cover features Australian actor Chris Hemsworth who ends another successful year in his life and career before welcoming a new one. However, the "Thor" and "Avengers" star appears to have slammed Miley Cyrus when he talked about his younger brother Liam Hemsworth's relationship in the interview.
"I've watched Liam do things I did at his age, like being in relationships he shouldn't be in, or being reckless just to prove a point," the 31-year-old Aussie actor stated. Chris Hemsworth added that he had no empathy and his mother had to remind him that he was the same way when he was younger.
According to a Mail Online report, Chris Hemsworth's statement regarding Liam's ex-girlfriends sounds like a swipe at the former Disney star even though the actor did not specifically mention Miley Cyrus' name. Liam and Miley met and started dating when they were filming "The Last Song" in 2009 but their relationship ended and engagement got called off in September 2013.
In the magazine interview, Chris Hemsworth revealed as well that his older brother, Luke Hemsworth, gave him a hard time during the early years of his acting career. The actor recounted that he became "incredibly insecure and full of anxiety" back when he was working on the Australian soap opera titled "Home and Away" from 2004 to 2007 because he did not know if he was doing any good in his career.
The Aussie actor further recounted spending years "being angsty" and constantly telling people that he was not just a part of the soap opera but he was a real artist. Chris Hemsworth shared that he remembers his brother sort of snapping at his behavior and telling him to shut up because he was already sick of hearing what he constantly tells people.
According to an E!News report, Chris Hemsworth's friendship with actor Matt Damon became another reality check for him. The "Thor" actor described the "Interstellar" star as a normal guy that has figured out the movie-star status.
In the magazine photo shoot, Chris Hemsworth sported a rugged look with his Aussie masculine figure in denim outfit and cowboy boots. Click HERE to see photos. Mail Online confirmed that the GQ magazine January issue will be nationally available on Tuesday, Dec. 23.
