The blockbuster fairytale film "Snow White and The Huntsman" together with the success of Marvel Comic's "The Avengers" earlier this year is making Australian hunk actor Chris Hemsworth climb to new heights in Hollywood.

The former Phillip Island boy said that he would not be limiting himself to just action roles and that having different genres in making movies would be challenging enough for him.

"Yeah, I would like to do a comedy one day. I think that would be fun. I don't think that I take roles just because they're action roles. I approach every role individually and look at the character and the heart of the character," Hemsworth shared.

The Australian actor is with his parents, grandparents and brother Luke during his stay in Sydney. Together with "Snow White and The Huntsman" co-star Kristen Stewart on the red carpet movie premiere at the Event Cinemas, Bondi Junction in Sydney's eastern suburbs, Hemsworth signed autographs for the screaming fans before heading inside to the screening of the film which is an epic re-telling of the classic fairytale.

Hemsworth shared in an interview that he has been making the most of his short visit back home by catching up with old mates from his "Home And Away" days.

"It's been great, I don't get to come back very often so it's like I've called 30 or 40 people, I get to invite them all tonight and see them all in one spot," the actor revealed.

"I still have a lot of mates in Sydney so I've loved seeing them," he further added.

Meanwhile, Hemsworth is set to head home afterwards to his base in England for a few weeks before beginning the shoot on the upcoming movie "Thor 2." The actor is also expected to take on the role of a sea captain in another film entitled "The Heart Of The Sea" and Hemsworth seems to talk a lot about it.

"I have been looking at that role. Nothing is definite at this stage but it's something I'm really interested in and it's an amazing story so we'll see," Hemsworth said.
