Chris Lilley Banned From Facebook for Posting Photo of his Genitals
Australia's funny man Chris Lilley was banned from Facebook for posting a photo of his testicles.
The "Summer Heights High" actor and creator tweeted the news of the ban yesterday causing an uproar of his fans. Immediately, a Twitter campaign for the unblocking of Lilley's Facebook account was started.
A Twitter campaign to get Chris Lilley un-blocked from Facebook is gaining momentum after someone reported a 'nuts' pic of the Angry Boys star on his page.
According to Ninemsn, a 30-day ban was served by Facebook authorities to Lilley after a user reported a photo of Lilley's genitals in his Facebook page.
The photo was believed to be featuring his characters Nathan and Daniel Sims doing their 'sneaky nuts' joke. Daniel and Nathan's 'sneaky nuts' joke saw them secretly flash their genitals when posing for photos during Angry Boys episodes.
In his Twitter account, Chris also posted the photo that got him banned from Facebook. Lilley's fans started the campaign that led to hashtag #FreeChrisLilleysNuts which spread quickly.
Chris Lilley is an Australian comedian, television producer, actor and writer. Some of the highlights of his career are the creation and portrayal of several characters in the mockumentary television series "We Can Be Heroes: Finding The Australian of the Year," "Summer Heights High," and "Angry Boys."
The "Report User" feature of Facebook is one of the safety features of the website and is for the protection of everyone in Facebook community. "Pornography, hate speech, threats, graphic violence, bullying, and spam are not allowed on Facebook."
According to Facebook's Help Center, "Content that does violate the Facebook Terms may be removed from Facebook and (in some cases) subject to legal or other action. The person reported is not notified of the identity of the person who made the report."
