iPhone 5 to Release Facebook, 3D Maps in iOS 6
It seems that part of the innovations that Apple will include Facebook integration and 3D maps in its new iOS.
Be ready to update, like and comment on posts through your iPhone as Facebook is coming to your Apple handset. This could be similar to the Twitter integration that the company did last year with the iPhone 4S.
The popularity of both social networking site makes perfect sense it their integration in the device.
Facebook's current iOS app is not very good. Many complained that it is slow and lagging. Moreover, it sometimes shuts down. Thus, this is good news to those who like to check with their Facebook friends from time to time.
Despite the aforementioned advantages of the Facebook integration with the highly anticipated handset, there are a lot of concerns surrounding the collaboration of the two top tech companies. The prime concern is about poor privacy. Many third party applications request to post automatically and even store some of the personal information of the user.
Another concern is it might slow down the process of the apps that require a sign up such as Spotify and Instagram.
Part of the new rumor is that Apple will be releasing its own version of Google Maps-like application that features 3D satellite shot, giving clearer and photo-like shots of places.
Some of the rumors about the new iPhone 5 such as it will be equipped with 4inch screen display, a variant of A5X chip, 1GB RAM in iPhone 4S/iPhone 4 casing. There is also a rumor that the next generation of iPhone will be released in June. However, other rumors say that iPhone 5 will be released in October 2012, which will sport the same screen size; support 4G LTE like the new iPad 3 and will come with a new micro dock connector.
As expected from the Cupertino-based company, it did not confirm any of the rumors surrounding the new iPhone and we may not hear from the company until the launch.
The new iOS and 3D Maps are expected to be unveiled at Apple's WorldWide Developer's Conference on June 11.
