Chrissy Teigen and John Legend expecting their first baby: 'I look forward to all the belly touching'
Chrissy Teigen and John Legend are expecting their first baby. The news was confirmed by Teigen on her Instagram.
"John and I are so happy to announce that we are pregnant,” the supermodel wrote on Instagram, alongside a black and white picture of the couple. The 29-year-old then opened up about the troubles she had while conceiving their baby.
"As many of you know, we've been trying to have a baby for a while now. It hasn't been easy, but we kept trying because we can't wait to bring our first child into the world and grow our family,” she wrote.
Teigen also added that she and her musician husband are “so excited” for their pregnancy and also thanked their fans for their love and good wishes. “I look forward to all the belly touching! Xx," she added.
A source close to the couple told E! News that they are very happy for the baby. The model is “feeling great” and “enjoying every second being pregnant.” She is also taking good care of her health and Legend has been a “huge support for Chrissy during this time,” it added.
Teigen has been quite vocal about starting a family and talked about her desire to have babies when she was asked about it on Tyra Banks' show, “FABLife.” The model became emotional talking about her difficult experience in falling pregnant and said she found it tough to handle questions related to it.
"So, anytime somebody asks me if I'm going to have kids, I'm like, 'One day, you're going to ask that to the wrong girl who's really struggling, and it's going to be really hurtful to them. And I hate that. So, I hate it. Stop asking me!'" she said on the show.
Now that she is pregnant, the model wishes that her baby would just appear and “show up out of nowhere,” without her having to go through nine long months.
