It’s a well-known and established fact that Chuck Norris is unbeatable. So when the media has called Jean-Claude Van Damme’s “epic split” commercial with Volvo the best ad ever, the 73-year-old legend, of course, out-splits his rival action movie star.

It was said that only one who could beat Norris was Bruce Lee, but as the martial arts icon has long been dead, the theory can’t be put to a test.

So now Norris rules the Internet. But until recently, his position was put at risk when Van Damme released his Volvo Trucks commercial, in which he was seen standing on the side mirrors of two reversing trucks as he performed his famous split.

Van Damme’s video became viral in just one day, receiving tens of millions of views on YouTube. The ad was so impressive that it was parodied multiple times. Some media sites even call it the best commercial ever.

Norris couldn’t just let that happen, though. So more than a month after Van Damme’s Epic Split commercial was uploaded in November, Norris has also shot his own even more epic split.

In the one-minute “Epic Christmas Split,” Norris took up the challenge and performed his own split between two jumbo jets in the sky. And that’s not all; he has also asked a team of skydivers to form a human Christmas tree while they balance their weight on his head.

Van Damme’s split stunt was real, though, whereas Norris’ required assistance from CGI.

“The stunt is real and is performed in just one take,” Volvot Trucks public relations manager Anders Vilhelmsson told the Wall Street Journal. “It’s a daring stunt but we had full control. There was never any real danger involved.”

Norris’ Epic Christmas Split might not be real, but it can’t be denied that he has indeed out-split his younger rival.

Both Norris and Van Damme co-starred in Sylvester Stallone’s “Expendables 2.” Both are also not returning for the third film.
