Good news for all Coldplay fans in Australia! The band who popularized the songs 'The Scientist' and 'Fix You' amongst others is set to see their fans down under Feb. 16 and 17. They will arrive straight after their performance for the 54th Grammy Awards on Feb. 12.

These two events are definitely once in a lifetime, with the first being a mobile live set with Coldplay on the 16th where about 30 winners will have the chance to be personal with the entire band as they play live on 2Day FM.

The other one will be for sunrise on the 17th, is sponsored by Huawei Mobile, and selected fans will get a chance to win mobile sets which they can use to record their experience with the band and share easily over their social network accounts.

About six months have passed since they have last played at Splendour in the Grass for their Mylo Xyloto record which reach double platinum just yesterday. Now, with this Aussie tour, Chris Martin, the frontman of the band, is hoping it would push their latest single 'Paradise' higher to the charts. This could possibly be their first number one hit in Australia.

He even kidded around that he envies his wife's song with Huey Lewis 'Cruisin'' being number one here in 2000. It was the band's producer Michael Gudinski who had a slip of the tongue about this rumoured upcoming tour while he as talking with Eddie McGuire in Melbourne.

For now, all the Coldplay Aussie fans out there are still keeping their fingers crossed.
