When Miley Cyrus gets naked, she makes news. But when she gets dressed - its bigger news! The controversial singer, who has recently taken a liking for nakedness and skimpy dresses, gave her fans a pleasant surprise when she wore a long gown (yes a gown!) on Tuesday for the annual Night of Stars gala at Cipriani's Wall Street.

The 20-year-old looked splendid and hot as she donned the glittering green Marc Jacobs backless gown and hit the red carpet. From the back, the gown ended just above the "Wrecking Ball" singer's hips and put her sexy-back on public display. But the exposure was nothing as compared to what we are used to seeing Miley in when she poses naked in Rolling Stone and her music videos.

"I got to give the biggest superstars in the room a pretty rad award. Congrats to Robert and Marc @MarcJacobsIntl," Miley wrote on her Instagram account before she went for the gala night.

The songstress looked beautiful in the halter neck gown. The "We Can't Stop" singer teamed up the glamorous green gown with matching Saint Laurent shoes and Lorraine Schwartz jewels in her ears. Her make-up was minimal with nude lip colour accentuating her lovely lips. She dabbed on some equally glittery eye-colour to highlight the look and her hands looked pretty in red coloured nail paint.

Miley, whose "BANGERZ" album is running at the top most position worldwide on all music charts was a picture of high class diva dressed to suit the occasion. Her blonde hair is surely growing out and the singer combed them backwards in a sleek wet look. The theme of the party was Galaxy.

"The co-man of the evening @robertcduffy and @MileyCyrus getting their #FGINightOfStars2013 gala on," Marc Jacobs International tweeted a picture of the singer.

Miley's fans have absolutely loved her fully-clothed look and are all praises for the successful singer's choice of dress.

"Finally! Something modest! Don't ever forget that you have younger fans out there, Miley! PS Let that hair grow! It looks better longer on you," wrote a fan named kenzietrooien on Miley's Instagram page where she posted her pictures.

"Love your dress, gorgeous girl! :)," writes another fan of Miley named lunchboxlove on her page.
