Kacey Musgraves took home the New Artist of the Year Award at the Wednesday night Country Music Awards in Nashville, Tennessee. The 25-year-old singer also rocked the stage with her beautiful voice as she belted out a flawless performance of her single "Follow Your Arrow." Let's know more about this pretty lady with a melodious voice.

"This first year for me has just been indescribable ... I feel very thankful. Thank you so much," Musgraves said during her acceptance speech. The gorgeous singer, who was dressed in a lovely and vibrant yellow short dress when she accepted the award, also thanked her grandmother, who was in attendance at the show for her achievements. Her lovely grandmother took on the role of her booking agent when Musgraves started her career in Texas.

The Texan born singer led the CMA awards night with six nominations and she faced some pretty stiff competition including her very own song in the "Song of the Year category." She was also nominated for her breakout hit, "Merry Go 'Round," and this multi-talented beauty is a co-writer of the Miranda Lambert hit "Mama's Broken Heart."

"How lucky can you get? I mean, some people don't even get have the chance to have one song heard or cut, let alone two," she told reporters recently, according to Country Weekly.

"It's like a huge perspective for me. I mean, just as a songwriter I feel like I'm able to achieve the best of both worlds with having a song that I wrote and got to sing and perform on the radio, and then another artist, a girl that I grew up with 10 miles down the road," she added.

The very talented Kacey self-released three albums of her country music before appearing on the fifth season of the USA Network's singing competition "Nashville Star" in 2007 and her fourth studio album, "Same Trailer Different Park," debuted at number 2, selling 42,000 copies.
