Courteney Cox and Matthew Perry are more than just ‘Friends’: Reports
Former “Friends” stars Matthew Perry and Courteney Cox are reportedly dating. Cox portrayed the role of Monica Geller on the show and went on to marry Perry's character Chandler Bing. The ex-costars' fans claim that the two were recently seen enjoying a lunch date and it has fueled rumours that they may be more than friends. Cox split up with her fiancé Snow Patrol guitarist Johnny McDaid in November. Meanwhile, Perry broke up with "Masters of Sex" actress Lizzy Caplan in 2012.
Perez Hilton reports a source revealed that it's not at all shocking for Cox to lean on Perry during this difficult time.
"It's no surprise that Matthew was one of the first people Courteney called after Johnny left her. They've leaned on each other before — during her infertility struggle and his battle with addiction," the source explained to Perez Hilton.
Another source told the website that what's happening between Cox and Perry is nothing serious, although both are said to be excited where it might lead them.
Cox was previously in a relationship with McDaid, whom she started dating in 2013. The ex-couple went on to announce their engagement a year later on June 26, 2014. Unfortunately, they didn't get married because they recently called off their engagement. TMZ reports that sources close to McDaid and Cox informed them that they parted ways because of different lifestyle choices. The Snow Patrol band member moved out of Cox's house before Thanksgiving and went back to England.
After Cox and McDaid's breakup, rumours of her and Perry going out for lunch surfaced. Since then, social media has been flooded with posts of their fans' reactions.
A Twitter user who goes by the name of Emma (mccallbing) even posted side-by-side photos of Cox and Perry in real life and on the show.

However, before more "Friends" fans get their hopes up, Entertainment Tonight reports that Perry and Cox aren't dating. A source close to the two debunks the rumours of them going out, saying that it is "untrue." Pop Sugar also points out that the photo of the two former costars that have been circulating in the Internet is actually an old one. It was reportedly taken in March 2005 because Cox was still wearing a ring on her left hand, which means that she was still married at that time to her ex-husband, David Arquette.
