TV Guide reports that on Monday, Rebecca seeks to impress Josh’s (Vincent Rodriguez III) friends by renting a luxurious party bus to take them to the beach. Along the way, she finds out surprising things about her new friends, while she reveals something about unexpected herself.

In the “I’m Going to the Beach With Josh and his Friends!” preview video below, which was posted on the show’s official YouTube channel, Rebecca will be seen proudly showing off the grand party bus, leaving Josh and the others flabbergasted. However, while Rebecca plans to win Josh back by getting his friends to like her, Josh’s girlfriend Valencia (Gabrielle Ruiz) shows up, donned in a sexy bikini. Her unexpected appearance hints that there will be more tension between the two ladies fighting for Josh.

Apart from the musical-comedy’s much-awaited mid-season premiere, fans of the shows are excited for the show’s guests including Hairspray’s Ricki Lake and Glee’s Amber Riley, according to Broadway World.

In an interview backstage with Entertainment Weekly, Bloom also confirmed that Broadway actress and Filipina celebrity Lea Salonga will appear in the season finale of “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend.” Bloom also talked about how the show strives to present diversity on television. Her co-star Rodriguez, for one, is Filipino-American. “Anything else I do from now on, I would want to make it about people who are diverse — people of color, gay, trans, because those are stories that have not been told before,” she went on, “and America is a melting pot of immigrants and I don’t think it’s acknowledged half as much as it should be on television,” Bloom told Entertainment Weekly.

For her part, Salonga took to Twitter to share her elation over her guest appearance. She wrote, “I guess the news is out!!! I’ll be appearing on the season finale of [Crazy Ex-Girlfriend]!,” she said. “And singing, too! How fun is that?!”
