"Criminal Minds" Season 9 has been having quite an enjoyable run not only with the new and exciting episodes that have rolled out, but also with the teased treat for Paget Brewster fans.

While season 7 is Brewster's last official mainstay as Agent Emily Prentiss before going off to be the head of Interpol, it has been announced that the 200th episode (or the 14th episode of "Criminal Minds" Season 9) will see her back with the BAU team.

TV Line has tried to get a few hints from Thomas Gibson, who plays Aaron Hotchner in the show, but this was the only thing that he has to say, "Paget will be there, but I won't say how. And hopefully we'll see her again...?"

Does this hint at a possible recurring episode for Brewster after the 200th episode? Brewster as Prentiss has had a considerable following, and given that her exit from the show is not a permanent one, the possibility of her coming back is not entirely closed off.

Gibson Gets Into the Director's Chair

Matthew Gray Gubler had had quite a run at directing some of the episodes of "Criminal Minds." This time, another main cast member is trying his hand at the director's seat for a later episode of "Criminal Minds" Season 9--and it's none other than Gibson himself.

According to TV Guide, the unspecified episode that Gibson will be directing has Jim Clemente as the writer. Clemente is a real-life former BAU agent, who has also served as a consultant for the show.

"It's based on a case he worked in real life--the disappearance of a child," said Gibson in an interview with TV Guide. "It's a story about how profiling really works, the true ins and outs of it, and how they caught the people behind the disappearance."

The best part? The episode will pay homage to the style and focus that "Criminal Minds" had in its earlier episodes. It looks like the episode will be more psychologically-ingrained rather than the recent trend of twistedness, slightly more gore, and adrenaline action on screen.

It may bring back the nostalgia of the first season, wherein the slow and quiet pace of the show seemed more eerie, as though the profilers were literally getting into the mindset of the criminal.

Sneak Peek of the Week: Episode 6

This week's episode of "Criminal Minds" will make Halloween even scarier, as the BAU team is out to catch a ritualistic and sadistic killer before he adds more mutilated bodies to the count.
