The CW's Flash, Grant Gustin, has something to say about Ezra Miller's costume on 'Justice League'
"Justice League" will be out in theatres in November 2017; "The Flash" returns to The CW on October 4, 2016
The addition of another Flash into the DC Universe had a lot fans disagreeing with the move. Some are reportedly saying that such addition is an insult to Grant Gustin who already is playing the speedster on the small screen.
DC, however, believes that their universe is big enough to accommodate two different takes on one character. The studio actually thinks that this allows more freedom and would result in a more immersive experience as different takes on the same character would appear simultaneously on the small and big screens.
The trailer for “Justice League,” which premiered at the San Diego Comic Con 2016, featured a Flash whose costume drew mixed reactions for fans of the classic DC Character. A notable fan, however, does not appear to be bothered at all by what he saw -- and that would be no other than The CW’s Flash himself, Grant Gustin.
Screenrant caught up with Gustin and asked him awhat he thinks about the new Flash. He then reveals that he has not yet seen the new costume. Then, they showed him the new costume through a phone. Gustin reacted positively by saying “They’re completely different.” He added that he finds the new costume very similar to that which appeared on “Injustice.”
Gustin also noted that the costume looks completely cool by saying “Yeah, that’s sick. I’m glad it’s really different though. Because ours is like a street, vintage feel that I don’t think has been done in any other version of the character” as seen in a post by ComicBook.
He also talked about how comfortable he is with Ezra Miller playing his character. He compliments Miller as a great actor. He also does not find it weird that they are both playing The Flash since Miller will be playing his version of the character, while he continues with his.
While Miller and Gustin would be playing the same character simultaneously through different channels, fans are anticipating the differences.
Ezra Miller debuts his role as The Flash in “Justice League,” which will be released in November 17, 2017. Season three of “The Flash” will start on October 4, 2016 on the CW. It will also air on FOX8 in Australia.
