Daniel Radcliffe Says 'No' to Doctor Who & 'Yes' to James Bond
Former "Harry Potter" star, Daniel Radcliffe is eyeing a certain role. Radcliffe has got his eye on a "James Bond" role but Daniel Craig shouldn't feel any less threatened. For one, Daniel wishes to play the role of a villain. As for "Whovians" wanting Daniel for the role of Doctor, Radcliffe finally shares his answer.
Being 5 feet and 5 inches in height has given Daniel a few roles to play since the end of "Harry Potter." Still, this hasn't stopped the British native from pursuing sough-out roles. For one, Daniel is set to star in a television series called, "A Young Doctor's Notebook" with the synopsis as follows.
"Based on Russian writer Mikhail Bulgakov's book of the same name, the four-part miniseries is a darkly humorous account of the turbulent experiences of a newly graduated young doctor (Radcliffe), told through the eyes of his older, opiate-addicted self (Hamm), who narrates the action from his own notebooks."
Apart from the role of a doctor in this upcoming UK series, Daniel is also eyed for the role of Doctor Who. "Whovians" highly agree that Daniel is the right actor for the role. Along with co-star from "Harry Potter", Rupert Grint has also been eyed to play the Doctor in the beloved television series. Yet, fans of Dr Who won't likely see Daniel portraying the iconic time-travelling Doctor anytime soon.
"I've done one iconic character, that might be enough," stated Radcliffe.
Instead of playing Doctor, Daniel has got his eye on the role of a villain in the James Bond film franchise.
"I am never going to be cast to play a Bruce Willis character in Die Hard," said Daniel in an interview with The Sun, adding, "I would make a much better villain than Bond-I am not nearly strapping enough to play Bond."
Given the roles Daniel wishes to play, its proof that the "Harry Potter" star has grown up. In fact, Daniel wishes to have more grown-up roles and is even open to the possibility of starring in the next "Harry Potter" film remakes as Potter's father.
"No more schoolboy stuff," stated Radcliffe in an interview with Time Out magazine, adding, "A cameo as Harry's dad? That would be perfect!"
