Warner Bros. released a 13-minutes featurette that contains behind-the-scenes footage of the last Batman film, The Dark Knight Rises. The video revealed some of the details on the much awaited finale of the trilogy.
In less than two weeks, another legendary superhero will invade the theaters worldwide and reclaim his glory on the box office. However, fans were treated with minimal details for months as brilliant director/co-writer Christopher Nolan covert information about the film.
These secrets are somehow revealed in the video. The featurette entails movie clips, exclusive cast and crew interviews, and behind-the-scenes footage that uncover just what we would expect from a Nolan film. Fortunately, the film looks thrilling, pure action touched with emotional drive.
Below are some of the secrets we learned from the video.
- After the epic battle in the second film, Batman took a time off for eight years. Gotham City looks fine on the surface without him but secrets lies within.
- Once again, Batman's butler Alfred (Michael Caine) acts as Bruce's moral compass in the movie who gives him advice on what he should do.
- Christopher Nolan hinted that Tom Hardy's character Bane is up to no good. The movie will explain his fully realized character and what drives him to be that way.
- Selena Kyle is still a big question in the movie if she will be on the good side or the bad side. However, Catwoman (Anne Hathaway) operated in her own beliefs whether it is accepted or not by others.
- The scene, filmed at the Pittsburgh Steelers' stadium, was one of most demanding scenes in film. But we will see more of Nolan's other effects spectacular.
- Some of the scenes are real and no effects are used like the thousands of people in Wall Street. Christopher Nolan wanted the scenes to be realistic as possible. Thus, he brought in 1,200 extras in the set.
- Batman's toys are really awesome. The Batplane will be shown in the film and it will not disappoint the fans.
