Tim Burton's take on the 1970's classic television series "Dark Shadows" debuted last May 11. Now that the film has finally hit the big screen, what is the feedback from the films' lovers and haters alike?

The 1970s hit television show, "Dark Shadows" was a drama, thriller and horror series rolled up into one. It followed the life of the vampire, Barnabas Collins and the complications of the undead. From romance to murder, "Dark Shadows" was a series loved by all.

However, Tim Burton's take on the television series caused a lot of issues and outspoken profanities from both his fans and of the media. While others loved the humor injected into the film, fans of the 70s series were outraged by the twist and turn of the film remake.

Teenagers or those who have never watched the original series had rated "Dark Shadows" film as a must see. Others, however, claimed the film and the acting of the star-studded cast had knocked them out in the cinema better than the average sleeping pill.

"It's not that it's that bad, it's just so boring. Which, I guess means that it is that bad," says Mike Ryan of Huffington Post with regards to his judgment on the film.

Johnny Depp's outrageous outfit and acting might not have been enough to convince half the viewers of the film. Even the star-studded cast namely Chloe Moretz, Helena Bonham Carter, Michelle Pfeiffer, Johnny Lee Miller and Eva Green may not be enough to satiate the "thirst" of fans of the 70's classic. Based on the mixed reviews: is Tim Burtons' version of "Dark Shadows" worth watching?

Again, Mike Ryan of Huffington Post ironically says something good did come out of watching "Dark Shadows".

"Immediately after the screening, a few colleagues and myself developed a new game called, "How much would someone have to pay you to sit through that movie again right now?" The consensus with Dark Shadows was $60," shared Mike.

So what would it be: Watch "Dark Shadows" on the big screen or wait for it on DVD?
