David Bekcham joins the anti-bullying bandwagon which has become a uniting advocacy in Hollywood. Beckham has partnered with Facebook to launch Facebook Safety, which aims to combat online bullying.

On his Facebook page, Beckham urged fans to "like" the page for Facebook Safety. The sports star called bullying "in any form" as unacceptable.

"Hi everyone, this week, Facebook are launching an important campaign to combat online bullying. I want to add my support to this, as bullying in any form is unacceptable. Please visit the Facebook safety page for updates on how you all can stay safe online, " wrote Beckham on own his page.

A researh recently concluded that cyber-bullying or online bullying may be even harder on the victims than physical beatings or name-calling. Unlike traditional bullying involving a face-to-face confrontation, victims of online bullying may not see or identify their harasser. Cyber victims are more likely to feel isolated, dehumanized or helpless at the time of the attack. (See full report here).

The new Facebook page aims to provide users of the social networking Web sites with updates and information to help keep them and their family safe while using Facebook or surfing on the Internet.
