As Salem continues to celebrate Christmas Eve, emotions run high on the upcoming episode of “Days Of Our Lives” (“DOOL”). On Friday, Chad’s (Billy Flynn) world is rocked to its core after seeing Abby (Marci Miller) alive. Spoilers suggest that his shock would soon be replaced with fury, and he’ll lash out at his wife, whom everyone presumed was dead.

Abby’s “resurrection” is expected to create chaos, including in Gabi’s (Camila Banus) life. Fans would remember that she and Chad are in the middle of a budding romance, which may be cut short with Abby’s arrival. Other “Days Of Our Lives” characters who will figure prominently on the Dec. 23 installment include Andre (Thaoo Penglis), Justin (Wally Kurth), Adrienne (Judi Evans), Dario (Jordi Vilasuso), Sonny (Freddie Smith), Kayla (Mary Beth Evans), Steve (Stephen Nichols), Roman (Josh Taylor) and Joey (James Lastovic).

"Days Of Our Lives" soap opera spoilers

TV Guide reports that on Friday’s run of “DOOL,” Chad struggles to accept the fact that his wife is actually alive. Justin, on the other hand, volunteers to look after Adrienne. Meanwhile, Gabi, Dario and Sonny excitedly gear up for the annual hospital Christmas party. Elsewhere, Kayla, Steve, Roman and Joey spend Christmas Eve at the pub.

Salem’s biggest story in time for Christmas is Abby’s spilled secret. Spoilers hint that apart from her, Chad will also turn his rage to those who already knew the truth, including Andre, Jennifer and JJ. Meanwhile, the two women in Chad’s life would have a heated face-off. Abby would blame her friend for making a move on Chad, while Gabi is expected to defend herself and hold Abby accountable for her actions.

"Days Of Our Lives" soap recap

In the previous episode, Abby had an emotional goodbye with her mum before heading off to Boston. JJ (Casey Moss), Doug (Bill Hayes), Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes), Maggie (Suzanne Rogers), as well as the others arrived at the Horton’s for the annual ornament-hanging tradition. Abe (James Reynolds), Valerie (Vanessa Williams), Theo (Kyler Pettis), Lani (Sal Stowers), Claire (Olivia Rose Keegan), Shawn (Brandon Beemer) and Ciara (Vivian Jovanni) also turned up for the occasion. Unknown to all of them, Abby was looking from outside the window.

Elsewhere, Chad berated his brother and ordered Andre to stay out of his personal life. Gabi then arrived and she and Chad exchanged gifts. She gave him cufflinks, while Chad splurged in a heart-shaped locket. When Chad went upstairs to change and use Gabi’s gift, she followed him. Things soon got hot and heavy between the two, but they stopped themselves before they got any further. The new couple professed their love for each other. Downstairs, Abby sneaked in to say goodbye to her baby. When Gabi went home, Chad headed to the nursery and found Abby holding Thomas.

In Chicago, Brady (Eric Martsolf) arrived, announcing that the chopper will soon be there with Deimos (Vincent Irizarry). Later, the two men and Nicole (Arianne Zucker) rushed Chloe (Nadia Bjorlin) to Salem Hospital. It appeared that Chloe went into pre-eclampsia and suffered a stroke. Nicole went to the nursery and held the baby. When the nurse asked for the baby’s name, Nicole said “Holly.” Meanwhile, Rafe (Galen Gering) visited Hope (Kristian Alfonso) on Christmas Eve, bringing a cupcake for her birthday. He also gave her a gift: a relic from the Our Lady of Guadalupe down in Mexico. Later, Rafe’s Christmas mood dampened when he received a call from Justin (Wally Kurth), who said that Hope’s appeal has been denied.
