'Days Of Our Lives' spoilers for Feb 1: Steve tries to negotiate with Ava for Kayla’s sake

Emotions will run high on the first episode of "Days Of Our Lives" this month, as Steve (Stephen Nichols) makes a deal with Ava (Tamara Braun) to save Kayla (Mary Beth Evans). Other “Days Of Our Lives” cast members who will appear in the upcoming installment include Ciara (Vivian Jovanni), Chase (Jonathon McClendon), Philip (John-Paul Lavoisier), Belle (Martha Madison), Deimos (Vincent Irizarry), Eve (Kassie DePaiva) and Claire (Olivia Rose Keegan).

We Love Soaps reports that Monday’s episode of “DOOL” shows how Ciara lashes at Chase after learning about his secret. Meanwhile, Claire turns to Eve as her mentor, and Philip confides to Belle about Deimos’ blackmail. Elsewhere, Steve enters into an agreement with Ava.

The Feb. 1 episode takes off from previous episodes which showed that Ava is responsible for Kayla’s disappearance. Ava threatened Steve, telling him to find their missing son in exchange for Kayla. Steve regretted trusting Ava, and warned her not to harm his wife in any way. Afraid to make the same mistake twice, Steve dragged Ava to his house. As Steve was trying to look for clues about their son in the hopes of finding him, his other son Joey (James Lastovic) called and admitted that he’s been drinking and needs to go home. Joey turned to alcohol after Ava rejected his love. Steve set to pick Joey up from the park, but handcuffed Ava to a table before he left. When Steve and Joey arrived home, Joey saw Ava and wondered why she is being held there. Steve explained to him that Ava kidnapped Kayla and the reason behind it. Moments later, when Joey was out of sight, Ava flirted with Steve and professed her love to him. As a reply, Steve said, "Ava baby. I would rather dig out my good eye with a spoon than ever be with you again."
